Part-Time Licensed Psychotherapist Position
Our private psychotherapy practice is seeking a licensed therapist for a part-time position on our team.
Located in the Lower Pacific Heights area of San Francisco, Pacific CBT provides empirically-supported Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for concerns including anxiety, depression, work stress, life transition and relationship issues to adults of all ages. The ideal candidate — with an LMFT, LPCC, LCSW, Psy.D., or Ph.D. — will be passionate about working directly with clients, bringing their enthusiasm and collaborative approach to the position. They will have experience and training in CBT, as well as an interest in furthering those skills — we are committed to providing high-level, ongoing training to our clinical staff. We also offer regular consultations with experienced, certified cognitive behavioral therapists and staff can consult with the practice director on challenging cases as needed.
The successful candidate wants to focus on face-to-face clinical work as an employee of Pacific CBT’s practice, working as part of our team of psychotherapists at a clinic geared toward higher-functioning professionals.
They need to be available for up to 12 hours per week — about 8 to 10 client hours — and must be willing to work Thursdays through Sundays, including early morning or evening appointments. As caseload builds, full-time employment may be a future option.
Skills and requirements:
Active license to practice psychotherapy in the State of California, in good standing
One year of post-licensure experience
Experience and training in DBT, ACT and mindfulness-based therapies
Specialized training and experience treating anxiety disorders
Familiarity with providing exposure therapy
Experience with group therapy
Experience working with children, families, and couples is a bonus
Strong diagnostic and assessment skills
Well-organized and detail-oriented
Pacific CBT offers generous benefits and paid sick leave, including competitive compensation, payment for administrative responsibilities and paid training.
